Abstract

The goal of this paper is to look into different kinds of processualism in performances and installations of Miroslav Miša Savić, which were created from 1976 to 2009. In this text, I firstly gave insight into the relevant theories and examples from the field of conceptual art in which processualism was implemented as an artistic strategy and then explored the stances of musicologists and theoreticians of music that tied processualism to minimalism, electroacoustic works and aleatoric. The central segment of this paper is dedicated to the analysis of Savić’s works, starting from his creations with piano and graphic visualizations of sound, over the installations with computer and enter and exit peripheries, up until the recent monumental work called Trainmix. Leaning on the retrospective character of this work, concluding remarks are made, regarding the understanding of processualism in a contemporary context mediated through digital means.
